He's well recognized, and if you ask any comic fan who created some of the most popular characters like Spider-Man, they'd say Stan "The Man" Lee.
That would be like Kevin if he created Jay and Silent Bob, but didn't get it noticed until someone else took over, and then get less than the normal amount of cash for today's economy while others made millions. Would he be a crybaby? Not at all. He'd be "entitled".
