Here in england our national game is football. Or soccer to you americans. It is a multi billion pound industry with millions of people each week forking out nearly £35 (about $55) each week to see their team. A person who buys a manchester united home kit, away kit, second away kit, duvet,videos, pictures, wallpaper, lampshades, scarves, a subscription to MUTV, a person who buys all that....is a fan. he's a good guy, he's accepted.
A man who buys all of the above with the star wars logo is sad, a geek, shunned.
Maybe im missing something but star wars is a very harmless thing that has inspired and moved people for the last 22 years and probably will do for the forseeable future.
Last time i heard star wars fans didn't get drunk and then riot their team lost.
