Some of you people are fucking ridiculous. The way you kiss Kevin's ass and practically grovel and beg for his approval is pathetic. Quit putting him on such a high pedestal for God's sake. He's no better than you or me. I like most of his films, but I thought JASBSB sucked ass. Even worse than Mallrats. I was disappointed in the regression from sophisticated, intelligent humor from Dogma to the scatalogical, immature toilet humor in JASBSB. And unlike most frat boys in their late teens, early 20s, I'm not going to be blinded by the beauty of Shannon Elizabeth and Eliza Dushku. Shannon seems like a sweet person in real life, but she can't act. Eliza, on the other hand, can and IMHO, is far sexier than Shannon.

Kevin's only human and personally I think he could give a fuck about what his fans think. Granted, the people here at View Askew are generous enough to let assholes like myself run their mouths and vent and shoot the shit. But the few times I have read something of Kevin's, he reminds me of a guy I used to work with many years ago. Both were really into comic books and both had an encyclopedia knowledge of movies. Kevin was more ambitious enough to try his hand at being a filmmaker while my friend wasn't.

And that's another thing. Why is it that there are so many "aspiring filmmakers" here? You think you're a nobody until you get behind a camera and say "Action!"? That's fucked up. I'm sorry. Being a filmmaker is more than just learning how to operate a zoom lense. It is an insult to those who do it well and have worked very hard at it. I like Kevin as a director, but he is far from the greatest. He has a long way to go IMHO.
