"Why don't you kick a minority while you're at it." is more than just a little bit of an overreaction, simply because the guy was pleased that more republicans won seats this year.
Where on the Republicans list of priorities do minorities fall, you say? At the same position where they fall on the DEMOCRATS list of priorities, despite any hype and rhetoric you may have bought into all these years. Most democrats I've seen talk a lot about helping the little guy, but they've done nothing more to help them than republicans have. Perhaps less. All the democrats are really known for is raising everybody's taxes, which really doesn't help anybody. It hurts the economy and it hurts 99% of americans, regardless of color. But, if you think this is sound policy, then perhaps you should try Canada and tell us all if you like it better there than here.
I want an intelligent discussion, too. That's why I responded to you when you said "why not kick a minority while you're at it" at a guy who simply chose one corrupt party over another corrupt party. Wake up! Big business and lobbyists control this country. Senators and Congressmen are merely their puppets. They wouldn't even have gotten into office if they weren't. Minorities have it rough in this country because they don't have as much BUYING POWER. It's sad, and it's fucked up, but it's absolutely true.
