I have yet to see her in a movie that wasn't totally mainstream and even in those she has yet to impress me with her acting ability. She can't sing. And to top it all off, I know girls personally that are more attractive than her, but...

wait, no, I still hate Mariah Carey, but my point is this... Sometimes you can hate an actor or actress, a write, a director or just about anything until you finally see soemthing of theirs that you really enjoy and it will cast a light on their past works...
I now love Brad Pitt. I think he's a great actor and some of his movies and roles are just amazing.
Matt Damon is a great actor, but I've only seen a few of his films.
Robin Williams can be incredibly good when he's playing a serious role. He can still annoy the piss out of me when he's trying to be funny, but I've learned to respect him.
Maybe the same thing will happen to Jennifer Lopez after Jersey Girl comes out. I at least know to watch the movie before I pass a decision.
Another thing I know is that when someone makes more money than me at something like music or movies, then I have no true opinion. I'm just another arm-chair director... or musician... or writer... or porn star for that matter.
Anyhow, I have to go, I'm in the middle of a very big bike race...
