: : ...the following films. I will be willing to trade or buy.

: : Eraserhead

: I have Eraserhead on VHS. My wife bought it off eBay cheap, then opened it and watched it. Afterwards, we put it back inthe case and it's been there since. We regret having opened it. I mean, I'm not usually one of those fuckers who buys toys and doesn't open 'em... I mean, if you don't open 'em, how can you play with them? (okay, nowadays that's not so good an idea -- my wife bought a Dawn action figure and as soon as she took it out of the bloody cas ehte arm fell off, and McFarlane Toys is notorious for not giving a hit about stuff like that).

: But anyway, this would be worth a lot more if it wan't opened, and neither she or I felt any thrill or like we'd gotten any closer to enlightenment or anything based on having seen it. I mean, not only was it pretentious, weird, and pointless, like I think most Lynch films are (excepting Blue Velvet, but in no way excepting fucking Dune, that annoying piece of crap), it was also vaguely annoying -- and not only because opening it devalued the tape by 60% or more.

: Anyway, she's off in Portnald right now, but I'll ask her when she gets back if she wants to part with it and for how much. She may want to keep it, not because she likes it but because it's hard to find. I'm not much of a collector, so I don't really get that. I toss shit I don't like. Email me in like a week or two at dodger@dodger.org.
