So he was rude. Perhaps he was doing something really important that kept him from speaking to you? It doesn't matter. You could have spoken to him any time that you wish, just not then. You should've left him alone.

You shouldn't have acted pissed. That got him angry, and then that ended in him logging off or blocking you.
