I usually consume some Vicodin or Peroset during the previews before a super long movie. You start buzzing a bit by the time the flick starts rolling and you dont feel your ass falling asleep as the hours tick by (that way you dont need to keep moving around in the seat like you shit your pants).
I also believe that this helps me to hold in piss from the copious amounts of beer that you will wind up consuming as well. A muscle relaxer such as (Cardiosoprodal) does the trick nicely as well.
Seriously, you are right- Movies are way too long now adays but at least ya get your moneys worth, right?
