: Actually, between Speilberg's pseudo-Dick writing in "AI" and Scott Frank's statements that "Philip Dick doesn't really write stories" coupled with "I read the story a hundred times and still don't know what it's about" [it's really straightforward and simple], I'm not expecting "The Minority Report" to be much more than an action movie set in the future. I'm just scared that they'll try and make it all Dick-y and fuck it up worse. They should steal more of Dick's ideas, then at least they'd have ideas.

The rumors that I have heard is the trailers are meant to market the movie as an action movie (it is a big summer release after all), but it does have alot of substance to it. So there may be hope yet. After the general public sentiment of AI which was marketed as a thinker I understand the logic of it. I agree completely on Dick's ideas, I think he is one of the least credited influneces on modern sci-fi, in the mainstream public that is.
