Resident Evil keeps evolving. Even when the changes aren't spectacular they keep trying new things to keep the games fresh.
Tomb Raider really didn't do that after TR2 which was really good and much better than the first.
The new one looks really good, but the new RE IS really good.
I'm a huge fan of Resident Evil and I was a fan of TR until 3 and beyond. I am looking forward to the next game because they seem to be going back to formula.
