You know, i consider myself a fan of Rock's comedy, but im finding that his film work has been something of a question mark. After seeing Bad Company (which is just plain awful. Schumacher actually did worse than Batman and Robin), i started thinking about Rock's film roles.
He was good in Dogma in a supporting role, he was a little over the top and annoying in Jay and Silent Bob.
But his other film work has been kind of.... how can i put this.... Not that good.
Lethal Weapon 4 was mediocre, CB4 had its moments, Pootie Tang was awful, Down to Earth was just sad.
But after seeing him in a leading role like Bad Company, i have to wonder if he can actually carry a film in the leading role. If the box office is any indication, he cant.
But if i can save one of you from seeing Bad Company, my work here is complete.
