We (me and my kids) have been a family divided after a too long disfunction home life. But recently we went to the video store looking for something we could all agree on to rent and watch on a Saturday night....after a long knock down drag out fight we came across Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! I knew from seeing Clerk, Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma previously in my life....this probably wasn't gonna be the best choice for my kids since they are 9, 10 and 11....but at this point...at least they were agreeing on SOMETHING! So we rented it. My kids sat and laughed like I haven't heard them laugh in a very long time! By the end of the film....they were rolling on the floor together smiling and talking. Since then...we went out and bought each of the movies and watched them all....TOGETHER! They still love their kid flicks....but Jay and Bob are top dogs on their list. I talked to parents of some of their friends and I find I am not alone in letting my kids enjoy these films. And I might add...my kids have not added any four letter words to their vocabularies....although snoogins...and snoochie boochies have become common household words! I couldn't be happier! Finally something to bring us bac to the same page!
I just wanna say thanks to Kevin...for his inspiration...and imagination. I think its great that he is branching out into other modes then Jay and Bob....and my family for one will be first in line to see anything new he puts out for us to view. My kids have a new hero...and SILENT BOB is his name! Thanks Kevin...I owe ya big time! Just don't let them know they can order comics and action figures on the net! I would be in debt FOREVER!
And hey...congrats on the weight loss....although we think your great just the way you are! My son says he wants to grow up and be YOU...so ya can't be all bad! (it was either you or Batman...but he tells me that you are real...and Batman isn't...so you are his first choice.) Keep up the great work! We will be watching and waiting! YOU DA MAN!! =0)
