: I just saw this the other day. Did anybody else think that this movie is a hopeless rip off of Chasing Amy.
: Jason Lee plays a writer caught in a love triangle with his best freind and another writer and they all end up not talking for years until one fateful day.

They do stop talking, but not for years. It only ends up being a few weeks (a month or two at the most) in which they remain disconnected from one another. That "fateful day" is one that David Schwimmer's character (Max, I believe it was) set up himself.

While I agree that it wasn't a good film, I don't think it directly ripped off "Chasing Amy". I just think it was a typical love story that was too cliched and cheesy for anyone to truly like.
