You don't seem to be grasping this simple concept.

You have NO idea what kind of film Kevin is making and yet, you're still trying to cast it. It makes you look utterly stupid when you maintain that Janeane Garofalo would've made a good "Jersey Girl" when it's already been established that the "Jersey Girl" of the title is the baby and NOT Jennifer Lopez character!

To make matters worse the few points that you DO make are condradictory to each other. You say Jennifer Lopez is a "hack actress" (a term which in itself is a contradiction) but later admit that Steven Soderbergh managed to get a worthwhile performance out of her. If Soderbergh can do it, what makes you think that Kevin can't?

None of this would be so bad but if you didn't come across as soooo condesending. You're "I know better than you attitude" is making MY balls itch so I can only imagine how bad it's bugging Kevin.

To make things short: If you can't accept that Kevin knows FAAAR more about film than you (in particular HIS film, that you haven't seen and know nothing about.) then shut the fuck about it, judge it the same as American Pie 2 and Glitter ('cause, yeah, you're the only person that knew Glitter was going to suck) just keep it to yourself and stop cluttering up the board.

Sheesh.

: Fine. I give up my J-Lo/Pg-13 rants. Either J-Lo can act in your Jersey Girl, or you're bashing her hack actress image, or she winds up deceased and mutilated in the end. I can only hopefully suspect these three fates for the "Jersey Girl". If you're with the former, you had better get some serious pointers from Steven Soderbergh because he's the only one who can make J-Lo if not decent, at least worthwhile. Still, Janeane Garofalo would have made a good "Jersey Girl". She's funnier-can't you understand that(Reality Bites, The Truth About Cats and Dogs)?! And I don't see what is wrong with Jack Black-have you even see High Fidelity and what did you even think of him there? By the way, I'm 28-not "younger". And what limited imagination are you talking about? I'm a film geek who actually likes films like Requiem for a Dream, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, or Trainspotting-you're telling me I have limited imagination?! Ha! Even I don't know what is in your "Jersey Girl" -there can be certain clues that can point to the badness of a film like that. For example, I don't need to see American Pie 2 to know how bad and coy with the sex it is. Or for that matter, I don't need to see Mariah Carey's Glitter to know that she's just as hack an actress as J-Lo can get these days. Clues can point to this direction Kevin. I'm not saying your Jersey Girl is bad but just these factors have the potential to make it fall short.
: Fine. Go make your Jersey Girl without Janeane or Parker or Jack or R-rated dialogue or hot Ben-J-Lo sex. But can you at least make up by doing a guest appearance with Mewes on The Simpsons(I'm sure some form of ex-ABC's Clerks can appear there-Mewes would look so good in yellow and so would you) or do a comedy sketch on Mad TV along with Mewes(it would be hilarious if you guys did one with Mad Tv characters Ms. Swan or Lurleen not as your VA characters but as yourselves). Can you at least do that? All I would like (and your fans would like) is for you and Mewes to tap into your comic impulses once more to show us that comedy is still your forte. Please consider these requests.
