: I'm sure you have the whole thing planned out, and you think it will be perfect with J.Lo in Jersey Girl. You will probably make more on this movie than any movie prior. But, you may also lose your most valuable asset -- your original fans.

If by 'original fans', you mean people who will go to see a Kevin Smith movie -- whatever Kevin Smith movie -- because they not only loved "Clerks" and thought it was brilliantly written, but have consistently enjoyed each of his subsequent films, then no, you're just flat wrong.

If by 'original fans', you mean whiny, bitchy little kids who claim to enjoy Kevin Smith's writing/directing (not to mention acting, 'cause he's not acting in it) but can't get past the casting of an actress that they don't like, regardless of whatever good movies she's been in, and try to cite movies like "Angel Eyes" and "The Wedding Planner" as if they're any worse than "Pearl Harbor" to justify it, then you're misunderstanding the word fan.
