This is my first time posting on the wwwboard, but I thought it was worth a shot. I am a huge fan of all the movies and of the humor of Kevin Smith. Well, here's the thing... Like close to a year ago my friends and I were at a Denny's joking around as per usual, when I got this idea. For the longest time we would talk about making a cheesy little movie with a camcorder just to see if we were as funny on film as we thought we were when we were just muckin it up at Denny's or anywhere else. Of course it never happened. But this particular time, as I was ordering my moons over myhami, I had what I thought was an epiphany. It works around a key ideal. Tom Green/ jackass revolution, by this I mean how thousands of idiots, like myself, would tune in to watch as a bunch of guys video taped them selves being morons, and it was a gigantic success. People these days love "real" tv, from funniest home videos to the ozzbornes. they eat it up. My Idea was brilliant in it's simplicity. Here it is: my friends and I keep a camcorder on us all the time. So, whenever we were to smoke some weed and then joke around at the supermarket or whatever we would film it. As long as we had like a few days worth of recorded nonsense, there had to be enough genuinely funny footage to fill at least the hour and a half that would be in a movie. Of course I realize that might not work for a movie, but why not try? I haven't seen a movie that has been of the "real" genre, and I really thought that the world would enjoy our humor. It doesn't necessarily have to be my friends and I in the movie, I just happened to think we were pretty damn funny.
I of course realize that this is coming off as some fan who thinks he can pitch a movie idea to you guys in hopes to make it big, or whatever, but it's not. It's just that I can sometimes put Kevin in my own shows, when he was younger, thinking he and his friends could make some funny crap that the world could watch. I am not looking for a movie deal. Ideally I would consider some feedback from the man (Kevin) a screaming success. Plus, I hear he gives feedback, so I got my fingers crossed. I am impressed by view askews openness to the public. I hope to hear from you.
