you'd have to factor its muscle mass index vs. caloric consumption of an average woodchuck. then figuring its location, the density and average mass of the type of wood in the vicinity, because say teak is alot heavier than say birch or mahogany... then finding the mean coefficient of ... im full of shit. heh.

i'd have to say no. being that the universe only exists as perception via consciousness, meaning, wherever we are, its there, formed by our awareness. therefore, various parts of the planet cease to exist if noone is around. the tree doesn't exist while noone is around to witness it falling.
