Man, I don't post here too often (I'm much more akin to the PAT board) but I gots to make comment on all this bitching about Lopex being in Jersey Girl. Yeah, I'm sure someone else has put out the same sentiment that I am now, but it's apparently in the minority so it couldn't hurt to mention it again. Did any of you see OUT OF SIGHT? The girl:
a)can act
b)has a great sense of comic timing
c)OOZES charisma when she's given a DECENT SCRIPT (which if ya'll don't think Mr. Smith is going to give us, they why are you even here anyways?
So you don't like PG-13, eh? What was the animated series? It sure as shit wasn't an "r" rating, and was still funny? Do you like his comic writing? I sure do, and it generally stays pg as well (tho it kinda has to).
And before I get the "stop kissing Kevin's ass" and "No really, stop kissing his ass" posts, I'd like to mention that the only reason I'm posting this is because it is honestly the way I feel. I've been peeking at this discussion for a while now, and I finally had to say something about it. Kevin certainly isn't infallable. The movie could be crap.
But you know what? I'm willing to risk that. Considering the fact (for me, at least) that he has a pretty good track record thus far, I'm willing to lay down my cash to see him try something new. Hell, I'm glad he did. As much as I could watch Jay and Bob forever I still wanna see the guy grow. I can't WAIT (well I have to) for his Fletch movie. It's going to kick ass. It's not Jay and Bob, and it sure aint the watered down Chevy-chase version either if he's staying as faithfuil to the book as he's been leading on to.
Well fuck, I've been rambling for way too long, I guess I'll stop back a bit later and feel the heat from the flames.
