: You write a passionate post that is basically about accepting things that you haven't seen and trusting judgement and it sounds like you're a pretty level headed guy and then you mindlessly name call?

I generally am a pretty level-headed guy. I just have a particularly short degree of tolerance for idiocy.

: Nope.

: Since there have been hundreds of posts just like yours with just as much self importance and since you're preaching to the choir by posting it here(FYI almost everyone who regularly posts here agrees that J-Lo is a wait and see, the people who you are referring to are the ones who post once and then go away so you basically attacked a group of people who will never read your post to begin with).

I'm not talking any self-importance. If I'm important in some way, it will be seen or not. Certainly posting to this wwwboard doesn't grant me any. But I didn't get the impression that those people just go away and never post again -- especially since in a number fo the threads below dealing with the topic they replied in the thread more than once.

: So, since you offered nothing new to the discussion and then proceeded to make yourself look like an ass by name calling I don't see any reason to praise your overzealous and overplayed opinion once more.

I didn't ask for any praise. I was just making a point. Actually, I generally post enthusiastically here for a day or so, then get sick of the large amount of twittish fluff that every conversation gets mixed up in, and go away for a few more months. This last time I had to get a new ID, even, because I lost the old password.

: That isn't to say that those people poking fun at the use of *** the asterisk for inflection purposes *aren't* acting like total morons... it's just that you kind of called someone a dumbass first.

Well, I did post an apology, though I do still contend that they were askign a pretty sumbass question. It's a pretty common emphatic device in plain text, not like I used ^^double carats^^ or something weird like that.
