I think the line you're talking about was the most you're going to get from a movie (and, for that matter, a situation) like that one ... all the people except for Affleck who were going in were not only wearing full protection suits, but still complaining about radiation. And, as you said, it was a small nuke.
of course, you are correct. I suppose I fear the desensitization (sp) of folks to nuclear weapons. There is still a great risk of nuclear war. And after we dropped those bombs on Japan most of the world had a wake-up call that these were the types of things we should NOT be playing with. I guess I just worry that we will forget just how far the destruction will go ( even to a cellular level).
