Not really, just a little old-fashioned. My cousin who is in her fifties is
named "Gay". It's actually her middle name but she uses it as her
first name since when she was a kid, she decided she'd rather be
called "Gay" than "Elizabeth". !!! Apparently Lizzie Borden jokes were
worse than being called "Gay" in her mind. Now THAT'S pretty weird.
