See, its funny because Green Day has been around soooo long, and I always associate them with bands like Operation Ivy, because they both came out of the bay area, both played the same spots, and even where they came from they got made fun of for being very pop oriented, but a lot of the fans that went to see them, at least at the earlier shows, went because of Operation Ivy/Rancid (Tim was in both) and the scene was really just starting to go main stream again. Mostly they were associated with more skater punk than anything back then. Maybe that's why I got into about half as many shoving matches back then...yea, cause it was sooo long ago...hehehe. I don't really know much about New Found Glory, I think I've heard one of their songs...don't really have an opinion on them, but I'm usually willing to listen to just about anything once.
