The ship I was on went to Sweden in 99 and during a picnic with some of their (some combination of coast gaurd/national gaurd) we played some games. We actually beat them in soccer and lost in football.
Nobody expected that.
I hadn't played since god knows when, but I played defenseman and passed to the shooters. It was one of the most fun and memorable parts of that trip. I didn't stick around for the football game since I was pretty much exhausted, but come to think of it, they were probably just laying up during the soccer match so they could beat us at our main sport.
