This was NOT Stiller's first attempt at filmmaking...he's also responsible for the nightmarish "Reality Bites" and the abhorrent "The Cable Guy".
Owen Wilso has never directed, or co-directed a film. He has, however, co-written "Bottle Rocket", "Rushmore" and THEN "The Royal Tenenbaums".
The comparison isn't even fair. Stiller's a brilliant comedian, but an awful filmmaker. Let it rest before you devour your other foot.
