I was also upset when Russia becoming a Junior Member of NATO was the third story on Nightline. What the hell? THIRD? Wasn't it just a scant 15 years ago that they were the badguys in every Bond flick?

I miss the Red Menace. I want to hate them, but I just can't bring myself to despise all those damn "-ikstans" they became. I mean, who the hell am I going to root against in the Olympics?
