Randall's Death Star Theory = Invalid

I was just back from watching E2 AOTC again and I realized that Randall's rant about the killing of innocent contractors was all of a sudden invalid. If you remember he was emotionally traumatized by the notion that innocent men and women hired to build the Death Star were killed when it was destroyed in the original pics. Well in E2 we learned that that evil little race of wasp like creatures (that remind me of the Mimic bugs) were the actual builders of said Death Star.
Did anyone else catch that ?
