he's not someone you'd see in a tabloid, or anything. But he was a musical hero of mine since I was eight. His name is David Aurbach, and he playes every weird instrument known to man, and beautifully at that. I got to open for him at a fund raiser/wine auction. Very cool. We sang some cheezy old folk songs together after the show. Like I said, nobody has probably heard of him. For me, though, that was a brush with greatness.
: Since fuckin_shit did his whole crazy-ass post, I think I'll inflate by ego by bragging about the vaguely-celebric people I've met:
: -I live around the corner from where Owen Hart used to live (he was in the process of moving when he died). Hell of a nice guy.
: -I work at the movie theatre where one of the regulars was Davey Boy Smith (aka The British Bulldog). Pretty nice guy, but he was really broken down when he bought it. Damn shame.
: -Another regular at the theatre is NHL MVP (most likely) Jarome Iginla. He's a really nice guy in person.
: -And a random celebrity I happened to meet was Jay Mohr, back when he was filming a movie downtown. He let me & my friends (we were passing by) have the extra food from catering just because I shouted "I loved you in Action". Ah...karma.
