ALWAYS over the top, yes, but I find him to be funny in almost anything he does, if in no other way than the 'stoner kid who did stupid stuff in high school just for a laugh' sort-of way. The guy's just bursting at the seams with energy, seemingly ready to do anything to make any and all laugh.
Granted... I Still Know What You Did Last Summer isn't a very impressive part of anyone's filmography, but what about HIS performance in all those crap movies? Orange County. In my opinion, crap movie, but the dude did awesome with what he had. Same goes for Saving Silverman (he & Zahn were the shizNIT). And so on and so forth.
As far as the D goes... of course they won't stand the test of time, but do you really think THEY think they will?? Nahhh. I think they realize that to most, their music is very FAD-a-licious, and THAT's why they're milking it for all it's worth. I know if I realized where I stood on the pop charts, I'd probably be doing the same thing - living it up.
However, I think I'll be a D fan for quite some time. And I know I'll be a JB fan for even longer.
Again... respect your opinion, duh, but that's mine. Take it for what it's worth.
