My first comic book was Infinity Gauntlet #4, and it's still one of my all time favorites. Others, of the top of my head:
-Coven #1: A beautiful splash page of Cain vs. Abel to start off a short, but cool book
-The issue of Earth X (or was it Universe, I think it was Universe X) where Belasco is shown to be Nightcrawler
-The whole Frank Miller 300 series
-The What If? issue of The Hulk/Bruce Banner dealing with spousal abuse
-The entire X-Men: Age of Apocalypse run, a really amazing story
-The Onlaught bookends, X-Men and Marvl Universe
-Alex Ross's masterpieces: Kingdom Come, Marvels, and Uncle Sam
-And my favorite Spiderman HC, Fearful Symmetry
