Grant Morrison, writer of the actually very entertaining comic "The Invisibles", believes that a lot of key aspects of that comic is ripped-off by "The Matrix", though if he hoenstly believes that, he's more drug-addled than the characters her creates. The comic is a lot of fun, and the only link is a higher power (In this case, otherdimensional "aliens"...I think) are working secretly "behind the scenes" to control all of reality, pretty much without any of us ever realizing it...that, and drugs will set you free. The end. "But "Matrix" is VERY comic-based...all the production designs and storyboards and printed visual references were done by great comic artists like Steve Scroce and Geoff Darrow...in fact, to sell the film the the studios, the directors actually had a rough, full-length comic made up to present to investors...
