He said that Leno was a big fan of his, and letterman asked him once to be on his show, as a replacement guest, and I guess they were dicks about it when they asked Kevin to be on. I read it in some article a while ago, check around newsaskew

: I saw Kevin recently on Jay Leno's "Tonight" show. Pretty funny stuff if you missed it. I did not recognize him at first. I'm not really a fan of Leno's though. I've always been more of a Letterman fan, but he'll never be as funny as he once was on NBC. He's obviously mellowed now that he has gotten older and had a brush with death with his bypass surgery.

: I just thought Kevin would be more likely to appear on Letterman than Leno. Letterman is funnier and has a similar sense of humor as Kevin does. Both are very intelligent and witty. Leno, though, puts on this "nice guy" persona and then has the audacity to make fun of the way people look. Late night tv died when Johnny Carson bid his farewell IMHO. The man was king and there has been a vacuum on late night talk shows ever since.
