There were no developed characters in X-Men. They all seemed the same to me. Or playing too hard on comic book stereotypes, to this point of absurdity. I remember reading somewhere that Patrick Stewart's mutant ability was the gift to speak the lines of dialogue without sounding like a douchebag or having the audience lose their respect for him as an actor. I've never agreed with anything more. X-MEN WAS SHIT.

As for Spider Man, I haven't seen it yet. But I wouldn't go so far as to say it's Sam Raimi being "Hollywood." I mean, you're not gonna make Spider Man a movie with gore or anything hard in it. Everyone likes Spider Man, not just overweight comic book geeks, and a majority of people who like Spider Man are kids 9-14. In dissapointing however many geeky comic book fanboys, they've won over twice as many kids.

Malfunctions. What the fuck. You wanted it to snatch some guy's head and yank it off or something? It's a SUMMER ACTION MOVIE, instead of concieving a story dark enough for the adult's tastes, they made one up so that EVERYONE can enjoy it. And as for what Raimi said about making the web shooters biological, I agree. I'd have a bigger problem believing a 16 year-old kid could create something government-funded operations can't than believing he has GENETIC web shooters over ONES HE MADE.

But, hey. Sony doesn't give a shit about what you think. It's gonna make a lot of money, and it's probably going to go on a while, because people who can't get into Star Wars will say "well, let's go see Spider Man."

You're a dickhead, anyway.
