It all depends on your ethical standpoint. A consequentialist would say, "If I steal this camera, it's wrong and I could be punished", so probably wouldn't. A deontological view would side with whatever was the greater good... i.e., "If I steal a camera, I could take pictures of all my friends, and they would like it, so I'm gonna do it".

The choice, my friend, is all yours....
