It's not one paper in particular. I just did a paper for my marketing class on the internet affecting a certain industry. I didn't get the grade I wanted and the only reason the teacher would give me is he felt that it should have said something else. But what he claimed is just an opinion and isn't fact and didn't even ring true.
It just got me thinking of another paper in my english class a couple of years ago. The teacher gave me a C on it because I used a metaphor that he didn't think other people could relate to. Well so what? If it makes sense to me, what does it matter. What I had said was that "the shadows flickered over him, like on the hood of a car rolling down a street lined with trees." or something to that affect and my teacher told me that other people may not have ever experienced that so I should have picked something a little more recognizable. I didn't want to write a fucking cliche.
Anyway, sorry for rambling.
