Sigh...okay...just an opinion and would like thoughts...
I think Kevin Smith's work is really good in all aspects...I really do. I am a big fan of his work, minus Jay and Silent Bob, no matter how much I wanted to love it, I just couldn't. So with that it brings me to the news of Kevin's new deal with Marvel Comics writing Amazing Spiderman and writing Black Cat simultaneously along with work on Jersey Girl. It was brought up as to how he could keep up and he said he wasn't sure but that he'd try. This is what bugs me. Kevin has been late before on his work in comics which has upheld the books. This isn't right. Don't commit to a book, unless you are dedicated to doing it on time, every month. It just bugs the hell out of me that with in the past few years, somehow this has become acceptible in comics, witht he "Big names." It really is sort of a slap in the face to people paying the money to read the hot books that the "big names" are writing. The fans are what makes or breaks a book. Sure Kevin's Daredevil was outstanding...but would it have been that outstanding if no one bought it? I mean the work speaks for it self, but if no one is buying it, does it matter? Long story short...Kevin, make sure your books come out on time to show some respect to the people buying your books...your fans will respect the less is more if it comes out in quality, as usual, in the time it's supposed too.
