The original idea considered was that there'd be a nine-part series, sure, but Lucas decided to make "Return of the Jedi" more action packed than part 6 of that series was supposed to be, after being involved in "Raiders". So "Return of the Jedi" is not part 6 of 9, but rather intended to be the ending. Apparently, it was originally supposed to be dark too. Anyway, I'd rather see what else Lucas is capable of.
