1-Will the film do well (in terms of $$)?
2-Will theaters be booked up with films like Spiderman, and Star Wars?
3-Do the producers have any previous deals with nationwide thaters/
I think the first of those is the most important. Look at CLERKS. That became a very wide release after everyone started talking about it.
