I too am at work. Getting paid overtime. I am working tho. I use the board to break up the hours. I am recreating a database that crashed without a backup. After I input 3 pages of data I take a break and read a few posts and respond to some if I feel like it. It breaks up the job into managable sections. It is costing them close to $30 per hour for me to do this but I was the only one willing. Last year, I made more in overtime pay than regular pay. I guess they didn't figure this was such a labor intensive project. That will teach them to back up the database at night.

My question...why would your employer put people in the position to earn overtime...if you aren't doing anything? I mean, how do you find yourself working overtime, if there isn't enough to keep you busy? Maybe your employer is expecting something from you that you are not aware of. It just seems silly to pay people time & 1/2 to sit around and do nothing.

Huuuummmmm?
