He never said a word about them having "a free crew." He said that the crew will be paid when (and IF) the film pays off what it owes to both Lion's Gate and ViewAskew. Only after both companies have recouped their investments will you (and the rest of the crew) be paid and, since that is still a LONG way away from happening, there is no point coming here and demanding money that you are not yet entitled to, especially when you could've been using the credit to get jobs on projects that CAN afford to pay you for your work up front rather than with a deferred deal.

I thought he was perfectly clear myself.
