Yes, I realize that you were just trying to point out that the New Jersey Devils were beaten by the Carolina Hurricanes, a franchise previously known as the Hartford Whalers, the Whalers being a team that Banky insults and Brodie is winning with but... dude, weak...
The Devils lost because they were outworked in the series, and Carolina trounced on them early. I'll admit that when New Jersey won games three and four I was convinced that the surprise attack Carolina had used on them had finally worn off. However, when Carolina won Game Five, it signified the maturation of their franchise. The Devils have walked all over Carolina in previous years but payback finally came through. The Devils can't win them all...
I'm more impressed with the possibility of having Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver in the second round of the playoffs at the same time. Who said Canadian hockey was dead?
: Yeah. I only just heard about the team my hometown (KC, of course) "gave birth" to being beat by the team Banky called a bunch of "fuckin' faggots" in Amy. As you may know, the team formerly known as the Hartford Whalers, the Carolina Hurricanes, were responsible for Jersey's playoff exit. I mention it solely because the team was referenced in both Mallrats (winning 12-2) and Amy.
: Anyway, that's my two cents on the Devils.
