I mean, I watched Akira just a few days, and I just don't see how it could work as a live-action flick (no matter how good CGI is). I mean, take the 'grand finale' inside the stadium - how would it be possible to re-create that with real people? This is one film that only works on the medium of animation... or at least I reckon so. I'll still be interested as to what they do with it though...
: Can you believe this?! The studio behind The Matrix is behind this, and I guess they just got the greenlight for production. In the right hands, this could be my favorite movie of all time.
