Well this is a first time post for me! How exciting.
Anyway, I live in England and doing Film Studies (yeah I get qualifications for watching films heh) and I decided to do my extended paper on you and whether or not you are an auteur. To be honest I can't claim to be the biggest Smith fan in the world, not because I dont love your films, but because most of the people on here know what colour your underpants are every day and I was still finding out about your films.
Still, lots of intensive research and 6 months later, I'm almost at the underpants stage.
What the fuck am I writing? This has nothing to do with my question.
What I want to know is this:
You are not shy to admit that your films have sprung from personal views and experiences and that many of your characters are based on yourself or certain aspects of yourself. Chasing Amy was obviously particularly close to your heart and the things going on in your head at the time.
Would you say that from watching your films and reading all that you have to say about them that it was possible to get to know the real "Kevin Smith"?
A bit of a boring and serious question for you I realise, not quite on the Malcolm doing some guys scrotum scale I know!!
