As for the rape scene. the rape isn't really whats taking place the whole 20 minutes. More of a what is he feeling while this is happening.
Just go, and prepare yourself. Its odd, because they set up a slight inside joke right before the rape scene happens. See if you can spot it. It's really out of place though, because its the last humorous scene for a very long time.
