After 20 years of searching and a number of unfulfilling relationships I found one - at a Babylon 5 party at the local LA SF convention. I was dressed as a dragonrider at the time.
We are now married and she's pregnant with (holding our breath) what will be our first child.
So _MY_ advice to the lovelorn is, be yourself, know what you want, and keep looking. She/he IS out there. I was 35 when I met her.
So when you're feeling reeeeaaaaaalllly lonely...remember that it gets better.
