q has to have a u to follow it (for some stupid reason i have no i dea about) so this u is sorta silent when paired with the q so when you say quick you could just as easily spell it qick, but this doensn't follow the rule of the u being after the q. In the case of the buick however, the b doesn't require the u after it so this u is pronounced and hence they don't rhyme
