Yes, as a culture we eat too many carbs. But that's not why we're fat.

The amount of carbs consumed by Americans has been the same since 1909 (roughly 500 grams a day). If carbs were the problem, obesity would stay the same, but it hasn't. Americans HAVE however, increased fat consumption by 24% comparatively.

Carbs isn't the problem. It's laziness. People aren't exercising anymore and heart disease is ridiculous right now.

Cutting out or reducing the best fuel you have isn't the greatest idea, and EVEN if it was, INCREASING your fat consumption to account for it is just plain stupid.

3,500 calories is a pound of fat. Either don't put it in your face, or burn it off.
