I am writing a script which I might direct [or sell to someone else to direct] I have some hints for you and your mates.
1. Buy a book on low budget directing eg Guerilla Handbook.
2. Buy a book about screenwriting.
3. Read interviews people gave about their first movie. There's a book called my first movie that should help.
4. Just do it, make the movie and do it your way. It'll work out fine. Just practice it and don't make it look improv.
