having heard samples of ALL the Star Trek singers, he certainly is the best.
When I say singers, you would be SHOCKED to know how many trek stars have cd's out. I'll run down the list like an compulsory geek should.
William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. All I can say is go to Amazon.com and look for a cd called Golden Throats, where you can hear Shatner doing spoken word performances of Lucy in The Sky as well as Nimoy singing Proud Mary.
Nichelle Nichols, (Lt. Uhura) cd called Down to Earth. While the others are funny, this is just plain bad.
Tim Russ (Tuvok) Sounds like a Hootie and the Blowfish wanna be. All available through amazon.
And of course, Scott Bakula, Captain Archer from Enterprise. Listen to the Quantum Leao soundtrack for him to butcher classics such as John Lennon's Imagine.
Hey, if I missed anyone let me know, we can all use a good laugh at the expense of actors who think they can sing too.
And of course, lest I forget Brent Spiner. To be honest he is the single most accomplished singer I have heard of, Trek related. All showtunes and lounge stuff. Sounds worse than it is, as the man is actually capable of singing very very well.
I can throw an MPG sample up. You want the whole thing you gotta work for it. Took me forever to find it. I can even give the site where I got it from.
