Again, opinions. I think CONTACT is a worthless piece of shit. There's no chemtisty between Foster and McConaghey, and everything in that film is so black-or-white and obvious. For example: Oh, look at the looney religious freak who happened to sneak passed the most elaborate government security in all of human history to blow up the most expensive project the gov't has ever attempted, and he just happens to stare right into the video camera as it pans past him and Jodie Foster is looking at the screen! Ugh, talk about crap...
But again, we're dealing with opinions here. AI deals with subtext, CONTACT is all about surface (and trite surface at that), one works for you, one works for me, and that's the end of that.
