Kevin just came to speak at my school tonight (the University of Rhode Island.) I want to thank you Kevin for staying for over 4 hours just shooting the shit and making us all laugh, plus you did a great job fuckin with those frat boy hecklers. You really were inspirational to me though because I want to get into the business after college. I think you do an exceptional job of being yourself among an industry of assholes and greedy bastards. You represent all those dudes like myself out there writing scripts, drawing comics, watching movies. Plus you have such great wit and sarcasm that matches your talents for telling great stories. You really put on a hell of a presentation and it means a lot to the audience when you are very personal and honest. We had Spike Lee come out here and I think he thought it was a Jesse Jackson introduction or something. Movies aren't always politics and speaking about movies sure shouldn't be politics either. It should be fun and personal. You were both, man. You really let us in on so much of your life and craft. I want to thank you for coming out into the boonies, cause even out here in this small and fuckin weird state there are people that spire to be like you one day and not turning into Spike Lee clones. Keep up the fuckin cool work and great dialogue. Two things in closing... You do a hell of an Affleck impression, I don't know if you pride yourself on it but it's fuckin on point. And two, the scene in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" where Will Ferrel tells Judd Nelson that he's learned so much from him is so great that it may be the funniest moment in cinema history.
Thanks again Kevin.
